What the requests look like
Locksmith requests tend to fall into two groups. The first is urgent: someone locked out of a flat with the key inside, a key snapped in the cylinder, or a car locked with the keys on the seat. The second is planned: new owners or tenants who want the front-door cylinder changed, landlords changing locks between tenants, a security door that no longer closes properly, a safe that will not open, or spare keys to cut. Customers say what kind of door, lock or vehicle it is, the area and how soon they need someone. You call, confirm the details and agree a price before you set off. For lockouts, we suggest you ask the customer to show proof that they live at the property or own the car before you open it.

You contact the customer directly, so introduce yourself and your business as you normally would. We review each sign-up before we send any requests.
Do you send car lockout requests?
Yes, if you choose car lockouts when you sign up. Customers give the make and model where they know it, so you can tell whether you have the tools for it.
Should I quote on the phone?
That is up to you. Many locksmiths give a price range on the phone and confirm it on site. Whatever you do, agree the price with the customer before you start work.
Is it free to join?

How will I receive requests?
Once we’ve reviewed your sign-up, we send matching requests by WhatsApp, phone or email, including the customer’s contact details, which they have agreed to share.
How do I stop receiving requests?
Email us or reply STOP to any message and we stop sending you requests.
What do you do with my details?
