What the requests look like
Gardening requests come from villa owners who want someone to look after the garden on a schedule, landlords getting a house ready for new tenants, holiday-home owners who live abroad for part of the year, and homeowners with a single job: palms that need trimming, a drip irrigation system that has stopped working, a lawn that has dried out over the summer or a plot full of dry weeds to clear before the fire season. Customers describe the size of the garden, what is in it and what needs doing, and can add photos. You choose whether you want ongoing maintenance clients, one-off jobs or both, and you agree the visits, the price and whether green waste is taken away with each customer.

Questions from gardeners
Can I get regular maintenance clients?
Some customers ask for weekly, fortnightly or monthly maintenance. If that is what you want, choose it when you sign up and agree the schedule and price with each customer directly.
Do requests include irrigation and palm work?
Customers can choose irrigation systems, tree and palm trimming, landscaping, lawn care, clearance and regular maintenance in the form.
I do not have equipment for tall palms. Will I get those jobs?
Only if you choose tree and palm trimming. Leave it out and you will not be sent those requests.
Who handles green waste?
You and the customer. Say in your quote whether you take the cuttings away, so the customer can compare like with like.
Can I choose the cities I work in?
Yes. Pick one city or several. Many gardening jobs involve a van, tools and green waste, so it makes sense to choose only the areas you can reach easily on a regular basis and turn down the rest.
Is it free to join?

Do you take a commission?
No. You quote the customer and they pay you directly. We never take a commission on the job price. Ergo is free during launch, with 30 days’ notice before any fees.
Can I choose my cities and how much work I get?
Yes. You pick the services and cities you cover and tell us how many new jobs you can take each week.
How will I receive requests?
Once we’ve reviewed your sign-up, we send matching requests by WhatsApp, phone or email, including the customer’s contact details, which they have agreed to share.
How do I stop receiving requests?
Email us or reply STOP to any message and we stop sending you requests.
What do you do with my details?
We use them to send you requests and run your account. See our privacy policy for what we keep and for how long.
